Adds support for specifying place of supply scheme on the related setting tax in the EU

What’s new

Adds support to specify the related setting (Impuesto General Indirecto Canario), the Canary Islands’ indirect tax, as the Tax Registration type for Spain ( ES) in the EU and adds the igic.place_of_supply_scheme in the country_options parameter to set whether the tax applies to the registration country ( standard) or the destination country ( inbound_goods).

Impact

If you use Stripe Tax, when you create or update a Tax Registration for Spain with type set to igic, you can now specify one of the following values for igic.place_of_supply_scheme to route tax collection appropriately:

standard : Tax applies to sales in the registration country.
inbound _ goods : Tax is collected at destination for inbound physical goods. If you collect the related setting tax for the Canary Islands, you must specify either standard or inbound _ goods for your the related setting registration.

If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.

If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2026-08-26. dahlia

Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
