Adds the restricted property to the Payout Method object Public preview
What’s new
Adds the restricted boolean property to the v2 Payout Method object. If the restricted value is true, the payout method has restrictions that prevent it from being used for payouts.
Impact
You can now check the restricted status of payout methods in your integration. A payout method can be restricted from use even if it’s correctly set up. For example, it might be on a denylist.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2026-03-25. preview
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
