Makes CVC optional when presenting a payment method on a simulated reader
What’s new
CVC is now an optional field for present_payment_method card objects.
Impact
You no longer need to enter CVC as a card parameter to present a payment method on a simulated reader.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2025-08-27. basil
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
