What’s new
Accounts v2 now supports 29 additional types of identification numbers that can be provided on a v2 account.
For businesses, Accounts v2 now supports the following ID numbers:
- ao _ nif (Angola - Número de Identificação Fiscal)
- az _ tin (Azerbaijan - Tax Identification Number)
- bd _ etin (Bangladesh - Electronic Tax Identification Number)
- cr _ cpj (Costa Rica - Cédula de Persona Jurídica)
- cr _ nite (Costa Rica - Número de Indetificación Tributario Especial)
- do _ rcn (Dominican Republic - Registro Nacional del Contribuyente)
- gt _ nit (Guatemala - Número de Identificación Tributaria)
- kz _ bin (Kazakhstan - Business Identification Number)
- mz _ nuit (Mozambique - Taxpayer Single ID Number)
- pe _ ruc (Peru - Registro Único de Contribuyentes)
- pk _ ntn (Pakistan - National Tax Number)
- sa _ crn (Saudi Arabia - Commercial Registration Number)
- sa _ tin (Saudi Arabia - Tax Identification Number)

Impact
You can now fulfill Accounts v2 ID number requirements in more countries.
Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2025-08-27. preview
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
