What’s new
Checkout Sessions no longer include the display_items property. Use the includable line_items property instead.
Impact
Lets you access the line item details for a Checkout Session using the line_items property, instead of the now-removed display_items property. This simplifies the Checkout Session response by consolidating the line item information into a single, consistent property.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2020-08-27
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
