Adds support for listing a payment method's mandates Public preview
What’s new
Improves mandate listing in the API by providing the ability to:
- View a payment method’s latest active mandate with the latest_active_mandate property.
- List all of a payment method’s attached mandates with Mandates List .
Impact
These improvements provide more consistent access to mandates to help simplify your workflow. You can now view all of a payment method’s mandates by using the Mandates List endpoint. You can also identify whether a mandate is attached to a payment method by using the latest_active_mandate property.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2025-08-27. preview
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
