Adds Account Links v2 API support for connected accounts created using the Accounts v2 API Breaking changes Public preview
What’s new
When using Accounts v2 for Connect, you can now use Account Links v2 to onboard connected accounts. We now support additional configurations such as merchant and customer for Accounts v2.
We’ve also introduced an optional collection_options parameter to allow you to specify requirements that Stripe collects from connected accounts:
- collection _ options. fields : specify whether to collect only currently_due requirements ( currently _ due ) or both currently_due and eventually_due requirements ( eventually _ due ). If you don’t specify collection _ options , the default value is currently _ due .
- collection _ options. future _ requirements : specify whether to collect future_requirements in addition to requirements in Connect Onboarding. The default value is omit .
Why is this a breaking change?
As a part of this release, we’re renaming the v2.core.account_link.completed event to v2.core.account_link.returned for clarity. Existing integrations won’t break, but you need to subscribe to the new version of the event with this change.
There are no breaking changes with the API.
Impact
You can now onboard connected accounts created using the Accounts v2 API directly with the Account Links v2 API, which natively supports configuration types specified on the Account. This is an improvement over using the Account Links v1 API with Accounts v2.
