What’s new
Adds support for retrieving information about reserves, including the status and balance of any reserves held.
- Reserve Hold : represents funds that are temporarily held.
- Reserve Plan : represents the configuration that automatically creates reserve holds.
- Reserve Release : tracks when held funds are made available.
You can list reserve holds, retrieve individual reserve holds, retrieve individual reserve plans, list reserve releases, and retrieve individual reserve releases.
Impact
The Reserves API allows you to programmatically monitor fund holds and releases on accounts. You can see when funds are temporarily unavailable and when they become available for payout.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2025-12-15. preview
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
