Stripe connector for Apple App Store®

Import Apple App Store revenue data to Stripe Revenue Recognition.

Import financial reports from your Apple App Store account to Stripe on a daily basis. Revenue Recognition uses this data to recognise your App Store revenue alongside your other revenue in Stripe.

Before you begin

Before you integrate, make sure that:

1. You’re an active Apple Developer and have an App Store Connect account with administrator access.
2. You’ve sold at least one auto-renewable subscription, including a subscription with an introductory price. For more information, see Apple’s report availability documentation .
3. You must have administrator access in the Dashboard.

Generate an App Store Connect API key

To create a new App Store Connect API key:

1. Open App Store Connect .
2. Click the plus icon ( ) next to the Active table heading.
3. Enter a name (for example, stripe-apple-store-connector ), select the Finance role, then create the API key.
4. In the Active table, locate the Key ID in the third column and click Download API Key to download the . p8 private key file. Apple only lets you download this file once, meaning you must store it securely because you need to upload it to Stripe later.

The Issuer ID appears above the Active table.

To locate your Vendor Number:

1. Open Payments and Financial Reports .
2. Find the Vendor Number in the top-left corner of the page, under the name of your legal entity.

Stripe needs at least one payment or financial report to be available in Payments and Financial Reports in order to import your data. If your account doesn’t have any reports yet, wait until Apple generates one before setting up the connector.

Configure the Stripe connector for Apple App Store

To upload the App Store Connect API key to Stripe:

1. Click the Connectors tab on the Data management page or the Data import tab on the Revenue recognition page .
2. Click + Add connector > Stripe Connector for Apple App Store .
3. Enter a name, then click Next .
4. Upload your . p8 file in the Private Key section.
5. Enter the Key ID , Issuer ID and Vendor Number that you collected from App Store Connect.

Maintain your Apple App Store connection

After Stripe establishes your connection, we fetch your data once a day. To monitor the health of your connection:

1. View the status and the latest sync details of your established connections on the Data management page .
2. Click the connector to manage an individual connection. You can edit the name, re-authenticate a broken connection, and delete a connection.

Data syncing requirements

Stripe can only sync reports if you have agreed to the Apple Developer Agreement. Stripe can’t sync data if the agreement has expired or the latest agreement hasn’t been accepted. In these cases, Stripe sends a notification email to the business’s primary email.

Go to Apple App Store Connect to review and either accept the latest version of the Developer Agreement or renew your existing agreement. For information about Apple agreements, see Apple’s documentation.
