What’s new
Adds the ability to update automatic tax, invoice creation, and invoice settings for Checkout Sessions to address tax liability updates and invoice issuer updates.
Impact
You can now shift tax liability to and from the Connect platform and connected account for custom Connect Checkout Sessions. This provides flexibility to Connect platforms that are subject to digital marketplace regulations. You can also update the invoice issuer to comply with EU regulations, which require the merchant that’s liable for tax to issue the invoice.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2025-09-30. preview
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
