Adds support for Dispute Preventions
What’s new
Adds a new prevented status and the new card case types resolution and block to provide prevention access over the API. For information on the product, and details on enrollment, see Dispute prevention.
Impact
When you enroll in support for prevented disputes, Stripe can block or resolve disputes before they’re raised to formal chargebacks. This can help lower dispute costs and improve dispute rates.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2025-08-27. basil
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
