Adds support for merchant amount and currency for test mode authorizations
What’s new
When you create a test mode authorization, you can now optionally specify a merchant_amount and merchant_currency.
Impact
You can use merchant_amount and merchant_currency to create valid Authorizations that have currencies that differ from the merchant’s card currency.
With the addition of merchant_amount, the amount parameter becomes optional. You can specify either amount or merchant_amount when you create test mode authorizations.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2024-11-20. acacia
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
