Wero is a pan-European payment method that enables customers to make instant payments using their bank accounts connected to their Wero wallet. Customers are redirected to Wero to authenticate and complete the payment, which typically completes in under 10 seconds.

Determine compatibility

To support Wero payments, a Checkout Session must satisfy all of the following conditions:

All line items must be priced in EUR.
Checkout must be in payment mode (not subscription or setup mode).

When creating a new Checkout Session, you need to:

Enable Wero in your Dashboard. Stripe automatically displays Wero to eligible customers using dynamic payment methods . If you currently specify payment _ method _ types , see the migration guide .
Make sure all line _ items use eur as the currency.

Fulfill orders

After the customer completes the payment, Stripe redirects them to the URL that you specified when creating the Checkout Session. You can use webhooks to receive notifications when the payment is successful.

Listen for the checkout.session.completed event to confirm the payment and fulfill the order.

Test your integration

When testing your Checkout integration, select Wero as the payment method and complete the authentication flow.

In a sandbox, you get redirected to a test page where you can approve or decline the payment.
