Adding Blocks to Forms

Adding blocks to your forms allows you to customize and enhance the data collection process. Use this guide when you want to include various elements like text fields, checkboxes, or scheduling options in your forms.

Before you start:

  • Ensure you have an account set up. Refer to "Setting Up Your Account" if needed.
  • Have a form ready to edit. See "Creating Your First Form" for guidance.
  1. Log in to the form management application.
  2. Navigate to the workspace where your form is located.
  3. Select the form you wish to edit.
  4. Click on the "Edit Form" button to enter the form editor.
  5. In the form editor, locate the "Add Block" option, usually found in the toolbar.
  6. Choose the type of block you want to add from the available options (e.g., text field, checkbox, scheduler).
  7. Click on the selected block type to add it to your form.
  8. Customize the block settings as needed. For example, set the label for a text field or configure options for a checkbox.
  9. If adding a scheduler block, refer to "Using the Scheduler Block" for detailed setup instructions.
  10. Once all blocks are added and configured, click "Save" to update your form.
  11. Preview your form to ensure all blocks are functioning as expected.
  12. Publish the form to make it available for data collection.

If something goes wrong:

  • Blocks not appearing: Ensure you are in the correct form editor mode. If the issue persists, refresh the page and try again.
  • Unable to save changes: Check your internet connection and ensure you are logged in. If the problem continues, log out and back in.
  • Scheduler block issues: Verify that the scheduler integration is correctly set up. Refer to "Integrating with Calendly," "Integrating with Cal.com," or "Integrating with TidyCal" for assistance.
