Adds metadata field on Tax Calculation line items
What’s new
Adds a metadata field for line_items on Tax Calculations. This field is optional, and you can use it to store any arbitrary data that you want to associate with the line item.
Impact
You can now store arbitrary data on each line item. This change impacts users who use the Tax Calculation API to call the create endpoint.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2025-05-28. basil
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
