Direct API

To enable Bizum, customers need a Spanish the related setting from a bank connected to Bizum. Within their banking app, they can enable Bizum and link their mobile number to their the related setting.

Determine compatibility

To support Bizum payments, a Checkout Session must satisfy all of the following conditions:

Prices for all line items must be in the same currency.
If you have line items in different currencies, create separate Checkout Sessions for each currency.
The total amount must be between 0.50 EUR and 5,000.00 EUR .

This guide describes how to enable Bizum and shows the differences between accepting a card payment and using Bizum.

Enable Bizum as a payment method

Enable Bizum in your Dashboard. With dynamic payment methods, Stripe automatically displays Bizum to eligible customers. If you’re currently specifying payment_method_types, see the migration guide.

When creating a new Checkout Session, make sure all line_items use the same currency.

When you don’t pass payment_method_types, Stripe dynamically displays eligible payment methods to your customer. You can manage payment methods from the Dashboard. Make sure Bizum is turned on in the payment methods settings page.

After accepting a payment, learn how to fulfill orders.

Test your integration

When testing your Checkout integration, select Bizum as the payment method and click the Pay button.

Use the following test phone numbers to reproduce common live mode scenarios. In all cases, the PaymentIntent status transitions approximately 5 seconds after confirmation.

Phone number	Description

`+34600000002`	The PaymentIntent status transitions from `requires_action` to `requires_payment_method`. Stripe returns the `payment_method_provider_decline` error code.
Any other phone number	The PaymentIntent status transitions from `requires_action` to `succeeded`.
