What’s new
The tax_transaction_attempts property provides the list of attempted tax transactions for the associated payment. This property is now always returned with TaxAssociations.
Tax Associations allow you to track tax committed through the Payment Intent integration.
Impact
This change ensures you can reliably access tax transaction attempt information when retrieving Tax Associations. You no longer need to handle cases where this property might be missing.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2025-11-17. preview
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
