Adds payment method-level support for configuring future usage of crypto payment methods in Checkout Sessions
What’s new
Adds the ability to override the Checkout Session top-level future usage setting for crypto payments by adding the setup_future_usage parameter to the payment_method_options.crypto hash of Checkout Sessions.
Impact
You can now specify that you don’t intend to reuse a crypto payment method when configuring a Checkout Session by setting the crypto-specific setup_future_usage parameter to none. This new parameter lets you override the top-level Checkout Session setting when making crypto payments.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2026-03-25. dahlia
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
