Adds the contact phone parameter to the Accounts API
What’s new
Adds the optional contact_phone parameter to the Account resource and its create and update methods, as well as the create method for Account Tokens. You can use this parameter to specify a default contact phone number for the account.
The contact_phone parameter accepts phone numbers in E.164 format.
Impact
You can provide a contact phone number when creating or updating accounts. This parameter is optional and doesn’t affect existing integrations.

Upgrade
- View your current API version in Workbench.
- If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
- If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2026-01-28. clover
- Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints .
- Test your integration against the new version.
- If you use Connect, test your Connect integration .
- In Workbench, perform the upgrade . You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
